A friend sent over some marketing statistics he was sent from a pretty large internal marking agency, in the order of a few 100m probably. So I think their stats are pretty reliable. After studying the material for a bit all I can think is:
Were just walking wallets.
Every action most people make is so predictable it can be targeted and optimized to get you to make a purchase. I'm not righteous enough to argue the morality, but the psychology is still fascinating to say the least.
