I know. It's saddening beyond belief. Instead of changing the world for the better, we have the Spanish Inquisition about to measure good people's absolute righteousness.
I wonder if it's a sort of laziness, or possibly despondency? It seems like such a momentous task to change the minds of those ideologically remote from us so we are tempted to just pick the low-hanging fruit of the odd disagreements with potential brothers in arms?
