I'm reminded of Arendts' "The banality of evil" from "Eichmann in Jeruzalem".
Experts saying "he's not a nazi, he's a reactionary, self-serving billionaire!" are trivializing his behavior and missing the point. Enabling and amplifying fascism is not neutral. Spreading Nazi-coded rhetoric, claiming he’s “just asking questions” is still functional fascism.
