The Government of Trinidad and Tobago expressed its concern about the effect that the decision of the United States to terminate the licenses for the export of oil from that country may have on its oil agreement with Venezuela. The Trinidadian Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young, announced that he plans to request an extension from Washington for a license granted to Shell and the island's National Gas Company to develop the Dragon gas project in Venezuela.
