When I was religious, my former pastor once advised me to let God decide how to handle a situation. I do not remember the details of the conundrum. But his words were partly about acceptance. Now as a non-religious person, I am trying to accept and let fate decide as suggested by Albert Camus in the absurdist philosophy of his book, The Myth of Sisyphus. Camus thought we must believe the mythical Sisyphus was happy in his labor of pushing a boulder up a mountain for eternity, only to see it always roll back to the bottom. It is not a nihilistic approach, but a striving to do what good I can to help my family survive the MAGA years while accepting the absurdity of the universe.
