How much of the UK's productivity puzzle (crisis) is due to unreliable data (which even the ONS admits is not up to scratch) & how much due to actual economic issues?
Leaving aside the data Q.; productivity may not be increasing due to:
more people being employed in low-wage/low-productivity roles;
the continued shift to services where productivity improvements can be difficult t achieve;
a management culture that sees workers as a cost not an asset to be invested in.
