It seemed to appeal to people who didn't want to drink alcohol, really, but didn't want to look like party poopers. Also, aluminum cans are more like to actually be recycled than plastic bottles. On the other hand, you can't put the top back on, so you have to be careful not to spill and it can't be re-used. So good for concerts, but home use not as much.",
