Sometimes when you fix something, it breaks something else...
For a while, we couldn't get deliveries to our home because of a mistake on Google maps that sent the delivery people to a street several blocks away.
This was stressful during lockdown when I was relying on grocery deliveries! So I managed to request a fix from Google maps.
But now, it seems that Google Maps sends random delivery people to our address, when they're supposed to go elsewhere.
The business relies purely on the Google Map information, instead of getting an actual address from their client. And all addresses in a certain area default to ours.
Mostly fast food deliveries, but just now it was a young woman from a cleaning service.
Luckily I was able to help her figure out where she's supposed to go, a nearby house. She has no transport and no data on her phone so that would have been a pretty bad day for her.
