The thing I miss about Facebook was how localized it could be, and still is. I still use it occasionally to source goods and services.
For instance, this morning I posted that I needed to find someone to do some yard work. Pulling uncontrolled ivy from a bunch of places around the yard. It’s shitty work. It’s trying to choke several trees and is all up in my shrubbery.
I found a woman who I’ve only ever met online but lives nearby. She’s going to do it. She needs the extra work.
