This isn't quite a "On This Day", but it was "On This Week"

2012, Rome. I'd been in Bari for a work meeting that finished on a Friday afternoon, and the trip home involved going via Rome. So, I got my workplace to swap the second leg to Sunday night, and spend a couple of days in Rome.

This was my first time using a DSLR rather than a point and shoot.

Major learning is that I should have practiced first, and learned the settings - I accidently had the ISO settings *way* too high, leading to very "noisy" photos, something I didn't realise until too late. I also overdid the polarising filter (something I still sometimes do), meaning the skies are unrealistically dark, and some of the clouds also look unrealistic.
