The 2022 Persuasion got terrible reviews, for its many anachronisms and breaking the fourth wall à la Fleabag. I confess I'm finding it very funny. Especially Mary Musgrove being so self-absorbed she doesn't notice that her sister Anne replies to her in Italian, and Richard E Grant as a splendidly vain Sir Walter.
