Mine was down to my waist when I was young & was very thick, but it wouldn’t grow any longer. Mine was very heavy too.
I’m thinking for the shade tree as medium sized Maple or Elm. It will end up coming down to what takes my fancy in the nursery though & advice from them. Just simple flowers around it. Never oregano again 😂.
