Given the unprecedented enthusiasm for Harris and the fundraising that comes with it, I'd imagine there are a lot of republican megadonors who must be feeling some kind of way about this whole situation right now.
So, what's a billionaire wanting to buy a government to do. They could conclude that this election is already lost, dial their spending on this cycle way back, and return in '26. I'm sure some will.
Or they could double down and spend even bigger, and that'll happen too. But...
