The reason I do not own a TV for the last 18 yrs.
A while back, I did some research into Marketing. And to understand the tactics I read some books.
Three books in particular changed my entire outlook not only when observing advertisements, but also social media trends and the old-school media constructed narratives.
The Grievance studies affairs was also an eye opener. It reminded me of the gasoline lead scandals.
Concepts of social engineering go beyond marketing. It is used daily to form artificial consent. I guess Operation Mocking Bird is used in more then one way.
To understand why a brand is popular or why it sounds like a forest full of mocking birds, its good to understand the underlying structures and behaviors that can produce the conditions needed.
Using Bots in a digital age, is bringing these concepts together on steroids.
Things fall into perspective when you look under the hood.
