An idea we've considered for some time got a push from various parties that wanted this to be available, so we have spun out SQLAlchemy's asyncio->sync->asyncio bridge based on greenlet into its own package independent of SQLAlchemy; introducing Awaitlet https://awaitlet.sqlalchemy.org/ Hope you can give it a look!
