Important detail, that may easily get missed in today's celebration: Commissioner #Jurova admitted publicly, that #ChatControl is about breaking encryption.
Maybe a blunder, maybe the false assumption, that Council would already have passed it (COREPER session was at the same time as the panel she was speaking at). Either way: I don't want to hear the Commission falsely claiming again, that ChatControl would not fundamentally be an attack on #encryption!
