I agree with most of what you said. Essentially trading in a 'walled garden' for a 'freedom walled garden' was how I initially saw nostr. Now, I can see how a lot of 'other stuff' is being built out, and as it develops, it seems to be much more than a twitter experience. I still recoil from the 'on brand, on message' influencers you speak of ...
My tip is not to use Primal. Yeah, it may be great for onboarding, but there are other apps available.
