couldn’t agree more. I’m guessing you’ll be familiar with Pickett & Wilkinson’s work showing conclusively that, internationally, the greater level of inequality an economy generates, the worse the outcomes across every imaginable metric, and worse for everyone, not just the poor
That so-called progressive politicians refuse to accept such powerful evidence and persist in the fallacy of the virtues of inequality is as despair-inducing as almost anything this govt has done
