I just tried to point out to him that it was a bad idea. A lot of people who might've been on the fence about donating will be turned off when they see that if you donated $1k or more, that doesn't guarantee that if you draw his ire you won't get blasted from the bully pulpit on a podcast with an audience of +1million
It's a mistake.
