If you're considering Arch Linux as your primary distro, but you're afraid of instabilities, this is a good example of the kind of issues you would run into from time to time.
I upgraded my system and was left with a black screen. Oh no! But both the KDE and Arch Linux wiki had instructions that the kernel parameter `nvidia_drm.modeset=1` was required for Plasma on Wayland.
One reboot later, everything worked fine.
This is why I recommend Arch to anyone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty. The documentation is top notch. You will run into problems, but you will be able to resolve them fairly quickly. If another distro forgets this kernel parameter, you're out of luck.
