5 months unemployed today since being laid off in February ☹️. Not even a couple of weeks contract work in that time ☹️. I got told by one crowd I didn't have enough experience, I have been working since 2005. Same crowd different interview was "no knowledge of Core Java concepts". Referrals from friends who thought I'd be a good fit at their workplaces were rejected without interview. Are people just not hiring senior engineers?
