I’m often troubled by how the ones most loudly making the argument that “we should all read more conservatives”, like Matt Yglesias, don’t really have a good sense of what being conservative is, the rainbow-like variations in conservatism, the actual depth and richness of conservative philosophies, and even the conservatives right under their nose.
