Brandon Johnson winning is the nail in the coffin for chicago. I’m now considering moving to the suburbs when my lease is up in August. I can’t handle 4 more years of constantly looking over my shoulder to make sure I don’t get carjacked, mugged, or shot. I’m sick of progressive voters thinking that spending money on “community programs” will solve every single issue. Chicago has 1500 patrol officer vacancies and over 100 detective vacancies. Brandon Johnson’s plan is to hire 200 detectives and create community programs. Making more after school and community programs *might* help *slowly* reduce crime in the very long term timeframe but it does jack shit to solve any of the crime happening now!
