GNH (Gross National Happiness) - Bhutan's alternative index to GDP (Gross Domestic Product); used to measure the collective happiness and well-being of a population, introduced in the 1970s and instituted as a governmen't goal in the constitution. The index value ranges from 0 to 1. The higher the value, the happier the population.
