#WritersCoffeeClub 3/22: Are there any books which should be banned, or is book banning always wrong?
So, look, the easy response to this question is "no, don't do it." But the right response is "by whom?"
Should governments ban books? I don't love that idea. But should parents oversee and potentially censor their kids' reading material? Yeah probably. Should preschools ban, like, Mein Kampf? Yeah probably.
As with many things, it's misleading to see this as a strictly binary choice.
