Well, I had my first "419 Scam" attempt on the #Fediverse with Mastodon yesterday.
I don't think the sky is falling on #Mastodon yet.
The onus is on the big servers to defederate unpatched servers, when that becomes necessary.
IMHO Mastodon is like email. Not many people run their own mail servers.
I don't want to see the hype when #Mastodon falls victim to an attack.
People #selfhosting need to patch their servers.
