Lots of bitcoiners are the open source contributors to these clients and have even took implementing features like “zaps” which are micropayments denominated in sats (smallest bits of bitcoins) paid over the lightning network (instant and feeless)
You can zap someone as small as 1 sat (fraction of a cent) if you like.
