The filter bubble discourse was a function of the hubris and entitlement of the media.
The hubris being the belief that if people just read their brilliant articles then they’d choose the “correct” politics.
The entitlement in being upset that social media companies weren’t making their content as popular as right wing grifters. Ignoring the reality that many more people want right wing grifter content than news which is why Tucker Carlson had the #1 cable news show.
