Why are we so addicted to #growth? Is growth a necessary feature (or flaw) of #capitalism?
In short, yes. One of the causes is our financial system that promotes and depends on increasing growth. Without growth, how can we pay off the ever-rising debt that even the wealthiest, most prosperius countries keep piling on?
We need to design systems (political, economic, etc.) to break this reliance, this addiction to growth.
