Globular Star Cluster NGC 6355 from #Hubble
Once abundant, less than 200 ancient globular clusters remain in the Milky Way, many lost to gravitational encounters. Hubble's image of 13-billion-year-old NGC 6355 reveals its dense, blue-star-lit core. Most other stars are background objects. Conditions no longer favor new cluster formation.
