The current paradigm has it wrong, so trying to understand the physics of our reality requires looking at it through a different lens. I don't think it can be understood fully if you are trying to build on foundations that are incorrect.
The fields have already been unified as soon as you bring back the aether, because all fields are simply modalities of the aether. Modern physics doesn't explain fields, magnetism or gravity and it rejects the aether.
They can describe the effects, but not what they are specifically. If they deny the very source of all the forces, it's quite hard to imagine how they could ever explain what those forces are.
