That it's a news report is not relevant. On Mastodon we use content warnings to be kind to people - so they can make their own decision whether to look at something that may be triggering for them. By all means name the guy in the content warning, but the view "they're already frightened for their safety so more can't hurt them" is just wrong and callous in my opinion.
