Seeing Ollie’s palatine rugae (I believe!) in the second image in ’s post, it just occurred to me that if cats spoke in a human-like language, they might differentiate between more articulatory positions than we do

Rather than just alveolar, post-alveolar and palatal places of articulation, they could have a separate place of articulation for each ruga 😸

(They might have a harder time with dental and labio-dental articulation though!)
