I've cracked it!!!!
I now have Compact Flash storage for my IBM Model 30 (8086), that's not XTA, XT-IDE or S2XT2SD. I currently have 518MB of storage, the next thing is to see if I can mount two CF cards at the same time, also see if I can push up to 2GB, potentially even higher!
