Yes there are two sides... the courts want to make it so politicians in congress can override the supreme court (which is sorta how it works int he USA).. oetherw want to make sure the supreme court get final say...
Both are "authoritative" because no matter what you pick one side gets final say and authority... int he USA we have a consitituion so the final authority comes int he form of amendments to the consitution, which means congress, but it also means with 2/3 support of congress.
