"content": "Being “prepared” is not having buckets of nasty food and “survival seeds” that you don’t know how to plant!\n\nIt is working diligently toward learning hard skills combined with incrementally setting aside useful material goods. \n\nSeek out knowledge you don’t have. My brother (a former carpenter) framed this car port out. I helped and gained invaluable experience on the fraiming and then dinished the rest of the build with skill aquired over the years. I worked under a master electrician for a summer where I learned how to properly run electrical. I spent time as a child helping my dad remodel our home and then later fumbled my way through renovating a foreclosed house. I worked as a painter for a summer in college and the list goes on.\n\nYou can’t rely on mountains of stored goods and seeds without properly prepared soil and a trained mind are USELESS! Buckets of nutrient deficient food will keep you alive until they run out. Knowledge in building, animal husbandry, foraging, fencing, chain saws, electrical, wood working, etc are invaluable. These skills come through diligence and interacting with the PHYSICAL WORLD. So get off your computer, get out of your house and try something new!\n\n#grownostr #homesteading #prepared #prepping #thehomesteadconsultant \n\nhttps://image.nostr.build/29ea908b21698428ebb86a102036dd32f75e7169e059d59b10c55b3967daeb58.jpg",
