We live in a world that expects constant updates, and sometimes that's not a good thing.
I've seen a mature, stable software release get ignored in favor of an alternative because the developer of the alternative seems to have unlimited time each day to promote their work.
I've seen this in other situations where whoever can talk the most gets the most attention and often has the most effect on a culture.
And it's not always for the best.
