As for Riccarton Bush in general: I love heading in there.
(As the closest patch of native bush, with actually "easy" walking trails - unlike those misleadingly named monstrosities in Mt Cook 😜, it's probably my "go to")
The swarm of little mosquitoes that bit my fingers when I foolishly stood still while holding my phone screen up in a dark area to try to record the ambient forest sounds though... 😅... 😵😬🤬 (The scars from that encounter still flare up when I get stressed!)
