A former manager once nicknamed me Cassandra, the Trojan priestess in Greek mythology cursed by the god Apollo to utter true prophecies but never to be believed.
I had a habit of pointing out signs a project was going to fail or a strategy was wrong before it became obvious. The problem is that there’s no upside in predicting failures and lots of downsides in being a lone negative voice when people are drinking the Kool Aid.
