There are a lot of people who are not aware of their surroundings in that office.
I remember a place where I worked where people were like hawks. When I left my office, they put work in my inbox and my chair, then flew away unseen.
When I went on vacation, they'd call to see if I was coming in. I'd say, "Look at the calendar," but they never did. We even had an SOP memo on the door about who was handling work for people out of the office.
