It is also sheepish to think that Elon is doing this in a fair bipartisan sort of way. Everyone knows he and those in power are cherry picking things to put out there to manipulate people into thinking this is all the other sides fault. This then gives them the power to do whatever they want for their own self interests.
They are right that there is lots of waste and fraud that needs to get cut, this shouldn't give them ultimate power to do whatever they want. So people are angry...
When both sides are corrupt, both sides are right to be angry, and this creates division, unrest, fear, that ultimately justifies more extreme action for those in power.
