The Hypostatic Union does not imply that Jesus is co-eternal with God the Father. It is a doctrine of the Orthodox Church which states that Jesus is consubstantial with the Father, but He is not co-eternal. This means that while Jesus is fully divine and of the same essence as God the Father, He is not the same Person and had a distinct beginning when He was born of the Virgin Mary.
