When I was a maintenance supervisor at Grand Teton NP I had 13 permanent & 6 seasonal workers. We were faced with budget cuts & an increasing workload every year, yet my crew kept the water & wastewater systems working, safe housing for employees, and clean facilities open to the public. The pay was less than comparable local non-federal jobs, but these folks were proud to be part of safe-guarding our public treasures. My heart breaks for those keeping the lights on now.
