I've done some the'ol web search'n and found that Bluetooth on #Linux is just straight-up cursed. For a brief period it worked fine for me, now it's nothing but static, crackling, and apparently dropping bits of audio.
If you do ever switch to a Linux distro, maybe don't do that if a bluetooth device is your primary audio device (assuming that its audio can't be connected via cord or other means).
