Has anyone thought of a solution on being able to promote your #nostr profile or nostr notes without picking a specific client to push users to? It seems like a pretty sucky experience if I were to post my nostr link to Astral for example but the user prefers to use snort instead
Is there not a way we could put together a standard for an HTML command like email has with mailto: and setting your email address prompting your email client
Can we not have a nostr:npub command for all clients to respect and when a user lets say clicks on it from a website like in the footer it would open up the profile in their preferred client?
I think social media sites like facebook grew off the backs of people pushing users to their social from websites and today it has become a standard sending millions of users back to social platforms every day

If that can be done could the same functionality be brought to note embeds?
I think that both Twitter and YouTube have done a fantastic job of making embeds a normal part of content creation and building referral traffic off it, if nostr embeds could display on posts and then send users to the note opening up in their preferred client wouldn't that drive even more traffic and conversion of content into followers
