Talked to an old colleague today. We both been in "the industry" since 1999.

Said he tried reaching me through Facebook. I deleted my account in 2014. Said he tried to reach me via LinkedIn. I deleted that account in 2021.

We chatted for a bit. Catching up. Felt disconnected.

Reminded me of that one quote from The Sovereign Individual:

Not that I live an extravagant life... but the bonds that held us together are gone.

Nothing bad.

Just died.

I have nothing in common with my old friends anymore.
