Thinking about *what it means to be human in light of AI* is a healthy exercise, but to avoid a collective existential crisis we would do well to stop using language that is not fitting for the technology.
Anthropomorphizing something in order to better understand it or describe it is nothing new, but in this case we are using deeply human words inaccurately and in a way that unnecessarily blurs the lines between man and machine.
AI is not "smart" or "intelligent". Neither does it "think" nor can it "learn". What we mean when we use these words is not what AI is doing.
Use the tech wisely. Contemplate what it means to be human. But don't let the technocrats and transhumanists set or define the terms of the discussion.
