If our young don't learn about history (as often said) they will be doomed to repeat it;
that the history of the #MiddleEast might be contentious in UK schools is not surprise, but it is sad (although all too understandable) that #teachers should decide that they cannot navigate successfully through to an end point where their pupils can explore and assess that history.
(Its not the only area of #education that's seen regrettable but understandable self-censorship)
