My sweet little pup is laying snuggled into a soft blanket next to me on the couch. She's struggling to breathe, successfully so far but with a lot of effort. She's had a few doses of antibiotics. I kind of think maybe she's improving, but it's hard to be objective and avoid wishful thinking.
We've decided to give it another day. If she's getting significantly better tomorrow, whew. If not… I can't let my good girl suffer.
And yes, I'm sobbing like a baby.
