One of my students - all of twelve years old - likes to declare to anyone who will listen that she is pansexual. At least she did until one day another student, obviously confused, asked what that meant. I happened to be nearby and before anyone could answer her I blurted out 'a fancy bisexual'. Haven't heard a peep about anyone's sexuality in that class since.
